Applying Star Coil Shield on a coil coating line is a straightforward three-step process.
Surface Preparation
Clean the metal surface thoroughly to remove oil, grease, dirt, and contaminants using suitable alkaline or solvent cleaners. Ensure the substrate is completely dry before application.
Mixing
Stir both components of Star Coil Shield separately, then mix them in the recommended ratio. Use a slow-speed stirrer (300–400 RPM) for at least 2 minutes until a uniform mixture is achieved.
Application & Curing
Apply using reverse roll coating, spray coating, or dip coating methods on coil coating lines. Apply 15–25 microns per layer and cure at 200–250°C peak metal temperature for 10–30 seconds.
